In leadership and life, things are always a'changin'
That’s why effective leaders are Learning Leaders
LIFT Learning Leaders is an immersive, multi-format program
Designed to enable you to develop, and practice, the specific skills you need
to become a trusted leader who knows how to build trusting teams

Time Tested ⌛️
We’ve been delivering this program in a wide range of sectors and industries for over 14 years.
Our unique format includes a carefully curated selection of leadership models and core skills,
in a powerful mix of classic and contemporary thought leaders including Dr Brené Brown, Kouzes and Posner,
Marshall Goldsmith, Daniel Goleman, Simon Sinek, Adam Fraser, and more... that we know will work for you!
Intentionally Interactive Learning
We never lecture. Our delivery is all about getting you thinking, moving, testing and practicing. Research shows that when learning new material, passive listening or reading is nowhere near as effective as we’d hope. Taking action is the key to real skill building.
LIFT’s proven W2W® Workshop to Workplace methodology facilitates leaders from selected levels in journeying together, sharing and reflecting on their learnings with each other – and other leadership levels – so new essential leadership skills are sustainably embedded within themselves and the organisation.
While we provide evidence-based theory to help understand the underlying concepts, our emphasis is strictly practical (and fun!) Our content over-delivers with tools and techniques you can put to use as soon as you finish the workshop!
We can only perform well if we, ourselves, are well. What’s more, our teams only start being well when we model the way to wellbeing. That’s why, throughout the program, we incorporate Peak Performance Self-Care content: wellbeing skills and tools that you continually practice, with multi-modal accountability baked-in so leaders can notice real measurable improvements.
No blah-blah. (We include only the best).
We don’t offer knowledge for its own sake
LIFT’s program is underpinned by contemporary evidence-based learning including:
- Ten leadership practices and over 40 tools and skills that lift individual, team and organisational performance based on the LIFT Model by Cherelle Witney.
- Accredited facilitation and coaching formats that draw on The Daring Way™ model and trust research by Dr Brenē Brown.
- Agility and appreciative enquiry practices, crucial for navigating VUCA* environments and leading successful and sustainable engagement in organisational change.
- Individual leader toolkits fused from the best of contemporary leadership developers in Australia, the UK and USA, proven to build relational intelligence.
The resulting program is an holistic, well-rounded interactive experience that’s also highly focused and specific, containing only the strategies that we know work. So your leadership is lifted from the first workshop (we know this because our clients tell us).
*VUCA: Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous.
Hundreds of Learning Leaders have made a real difference
to their leadership and their organistions
We've been delivering Learning Leaders to over 300 leaders for over 14 years.
We're really proud of the success stories clients share with us over their journey (so far):

We invested in LIFT’s Learning Leaders program at our organisation each year over 4 years, training over 130 new and existing leaders across a variety of services.
Among our results, we noticed improved accountability, collaboration between managers/leaders and saw leaders applying for high level positions more often.
We also established a culture of leadership learning at middle and senior leaders levels that created more courage and vision to be self-motivated to innovate our services.

My leadership skills radically changed after just a few workshops
Since commencing this course, I've become a compassionate leader, my communication skills have improved and my understanding of teamwork has grown with spectacular results!
My team have become inspired and compassionate alongside me and are making great changes for our organisation. One such change is the recent high level of engagement and enthusiasm to work together on creating our vision.
My leadership skills radically changed after just a few workshops and have continued to grow throughout. I'd recommend you do this course!
Social Work Co-ordinator

Learning Leaders has enabled me to realise that I am actually good at some of this stuff!
The BELBIN profile showed me my strengths and also my weaknesses. And while, at first, that was confronting, with debriefing from LIFT, I found that this is a good thing, engaging me more with my strengths and my team or workplace and not having to think that I have to "do it all."
As a clinician and a mum, the more I know about myself, my patients, my daughter, the more effective I can be. I've better understood my strengths and how to use them, as well as your vulnerability to firstly be the best that you can be, and then to bring the best out of those around you.
Our LIFT trainer brings a wealth of knowledge to the course and also an ability to let me sit there and have several "aha" moments and time to think.
The course allows people to share their stories and their journey in a safe, enabling environment.
Audit & Performance

I just wanted to thank you again for all I have learnt from both yourself and your team over the last 12 months.Â
I have thoroughly enjoyed the learning journey I have been on, both personally and with the mental health leadership team, and can say that I have taken away a number of valuable, lifelong skills that will assist me, both in my personal and professional life, going forwards.Â
Senior Leader, People Culture Capability

The course encourages you to be innovative and inclusive of difference.
The tools, especially inspiring the vision / modelling the way has brought me and my team back to the core values of why we all work in this field.
The recognition of individuals that are struggling in understanding their boundaries has also assisted me as a leader and the WWW/EBI tool LIFT show syou how to use has been very helpful in specifically defining what we bring to the group as individuals and respecting this.
Tools like Six Thinking Hats and using the Swiss Cheese Model to recognise the holes that are required to be patched up before moving forward with a plan of action has added to my repertoire of leadership tools.

How we develop trusted leaders
who know how to build trusting teams

Learning Leaders is delivered through an intentionally staged approach, following the LIFT Inside Out Learning Model which recognises that we must first work on the skills needed to successfully lead our selves before we can effectively lead others.
Phase 1 (approx. 7 months) begins with Dr Brene Brown's framework on courage and connection (the essential leadership skills) where we explore the skills we need as individuals to manage and lead internally, before moving outwards to lead our teams effectively, ensuring a safe environment providing the conditions for agile collaboration, psychological safety and wellbeing.
Phase 2 (approx. 6 months) builds on this foundation as we move to the next layer of skills which enable us to lead the organisation and effectively operate within our wider industry.

Insightful Profiling
Participants undertake two profiles. BELBIN® identifies how we function and contribute as part of a team. PRINT® identifies our unconscious motivators and reveals behaviours that can lift of limit our best self. Together, these provide insights into the way you, as a leader, can effectively solve problems and thrive within constant change, maximising your unique strengths and managing limiting behaviours.

Interactive Leadership Workshops
12 modules [see below for more detail] including a powerful mix of classic and contemporary leadership models, and using accredited facilitation formats based on The Daring Way™ model and trust research by Dr Brenē Brown.
*Workshops held fortnightly, monthly, or bi-monthly, depending on program duration and needs.

Intuitive Coaching
LIFT Leadership Coaching complements workshop learning, allowing leaders to explore specific areas of interest and resolve pain points, in a confidential mindful safe space, with an experienced coach who understands your workplace demands and unique challenges.

Workshop to Workplace

This reflection, and learning transfer, further embeds skills and promotes program success and sustainability.
